West Coast Story 06/15/24

Desmadre, Concrete Jungle Sessions LA, Joker Brand & the California Cowboys put this show together.

Punkers, DJs, low riders, artists, photographers, & vendors came together and celebrated the West Coast with their music, tattoos & clothing.

They had two stages playing music.

The rawest energy comes from these punk shows because of the moshes and the artist going screamo.

That power from the music makes the crowd shake and smile like a kid in a candy store.

You’d be surprised; a few photographers put their cameras down and hopped into the mosh.

Big ups to all of the musicians & DJ’s all of you rip it.

I was waiting for the right moment for the photo of Estevan Oriol, but I had to psyche myself up to ask for that flick.

The number of tattoos at the event was beautiful because it shows how West Coast culture admires art; they even had a booth for tattoos.

The attention to detail in these whips is tremendous, especially since they are from the older generations, which means replacing parts can be as costly as buying a foreign one.

Overall, this West Coast story show brought the inner child out of me because I had so much fun, and I could tell that many people around me were on the same wavelength.

If you go to raves or Coachella, you can also support local shows!

Legoland California 06/27/24

This theme park is a must if you have kids and live in southern California.

Rides and activities are for children and teenagers in the park.

There is even a Ninjago playground.

It is also the best for families, especially the parents who would play with Legos as a kid.

What’s so special about this theme park is its ability to create worlds.

They create worlds by using Legos as the foundation.

Star Wars, City, WALL·E, NASA, Friends (outer space), transformers, & Lord of the Rings all have Lego sets, and this is not all of their collaborations; there’s way more.

There’s enough to do at LEGOLAND for two full days if you have never been there.

We stayed at the Castle Hotel on location for two nights, and the entrance to the park is a walk away, which is very convenient.

If your family stays at the hotel, there are food and drink options inside and outside the premises; LEGOLAND, California, is in Carlsbad, so the local community has much to offer.

The parade inside the park is an excellent way for the kids to interact with the Lego characters and dancers.

My kid loves what LEGOLAND offers so much that she cried on the way home because she didn’t want to leave the princess Lego.

We will be returning; our first experience was very memorable.

Beatswapmeet for tha kulture 06/22/24

In Downtown Santa Ana, the heat was bumping, just like the sounds coming from the speakers.

Beat Swap Meet, Raw Kulture & Diggin Daily put this pop-up together with the help of vendors.

Vendors mainly sold vinyl, but others sold merch, hip-hop toy figures, cassettes, and CDs.

The dance battle was a beautiful moment that felt necessary.

Live music and all vinyl sets by Chris Taylor, “The Glove,” DJ Loser, Big Dbo & DJ Luer of the Funk Freaks, Dj Rhettmatic, Kid Abstrakt, CholaOrange, 671, DJ Luman, Dj Abel, Quest 9, Cancun Joey, High Funktions, Karlos Evakuate, & Spin Out Club.

Vinyl sets also play inside the Wursthaus bar and restaurant, perfect for everyone who wants to duck the heat.

This event was the first beat swap meet in five years.

Hopefully, it won’t be that long til the next one because this event was fantastic!

Vinyl DJ sets, Bboy & Bgirl dance battles, & like-minded people of the culture came together, ain’t nothing like community.
